About Me

Well hi there. So sweet of you to drop in.

My name is Shauna, and I created this space to be a judgment-free zone for newbie writers. I’ve made a lot of mistakes – I mean A LOT – and I hope to prevent you from making those same mistakes.

I also find teaching helps me learn. I am still growing and will always be growing, and I want to provide you with the things that I will learn along my journey.

What will you get out of my posts, you ask?

Well, wonderful reader, I will be providing you information about anything writing, from “once upon a time…” to publication. So feel free to ask away. (So don’t forget to follow!)

I have been working on my current manuscript for over a year now. I have enjoyed writing my whole life – except when I had to do it, like homework and stuff, that sucked – Am I right? Okay, ignore the cheese.

The Harry Potter Series by Jk Rowling have always been my all-time favorite books, and they were actually the books that sparked my interest in writing. I dabbled in a bit of fan fiction, back in the day. It was terrible, and I hope I burned those pages never to be resurrected. Ever.

I’m sure many of you are terrified to start this journey. What if my writing sucks? What if no one believes in me?  Well, I’m here to tell you it is terrifying. I’m terrified, but you know what? I’m doing this for me because it’s my dream.

I never felt I lived up to expectations, despite me working as a store manager, I am a college dropout with a Bachelor’s degree in a little bit of everything. So, when I said I was pursuing this writing adventure I could just hear people say “Oh, Shauna’s doing something else again.” But then I said screw that imaginary jerk person in my head because I believe in me and that’s all that matters.
